What's the best item to get an autograph on?

My friend's dad is coaching the team that Rose, Griffin, Love, Iguodala, Chalmers etc. is playing with or against. He can ask them to sign it. I'm thinking about buying one jersey for each players... Does it have to be original or is a replica okay?
