What steps to take when painting the inside of a wooden driftboat?

recently came across a neat lil boat that has been around these parts some 40 years. Rogue River Southern Oregon. Anyways the inside paint is peeling and I pressure washed and striped and sanded it clean. I have been letting it dry in my shop for a couple weeks now and think it is just about ready for paint. What should I use? I don't care about a beautiful finnish just want it sealed. epoxy primer? and what kinda paint? Trying to build function not form and budget not show boat. If it looks to nice my truck will look out of place.
