Why is it that people are set against having their guests pay for their own meal? ?

bad taste.........are you thinking of using a restaurant for a shower and not buying food....is this just an invite to buy a present and buy your own meal.........change your plans to a persons home....with cake.mints and nuts..or a smaller party with the host paying the bill...think again what the word guest means
