What is the appropriate attire for a halter cl?

For halter you are supposed to wear dress pants and a fitted blazer, with a matching slinky underneath the jacket, matching cowboy boots and a cowboy hat. Your hair should be tied back neatly. This is standard, and this is probably what everyone else will be wearing. However, you might be able to get away with something different, such as an English riding outfit or a Hunter In Hand outfit (khaki pants, polo shirt, white sneakers, no hat, hair tied back), but you should check your ociation's rule book to be sure. Halter is technically a Western cl. Hunter in Hand is the English version of halter. At least that's how it is at the appaloosa shows around here. 4H did allow English attire in production halter but 4H works differently than most show and breed ociations.
