Why does everyone blame David Stern when their team doesn't deliver?

Don't get me wrong, nothing I'd like seeing more than a Nuggets-Orlando final. But c'mon, David Stern can only manipulate the refs at best. He can't get the nuggets to inbound incorrectly and cost turnovers, he can't be the reason why your team misses free throws and open jumpers.
