What was invented in California/what makes california unique?

How about It's it's ice cream. Mt Shasta and Len National park come to mind too. Then there are mud baths of Calistoga and the first millionare of California, Sam Brannan. Lets not forget the San Francisco 49'rs and the San Francisco Giants and cable cars too. How about hippies and flower power too.
